Steve Saccone is the Vice President of the SEU Ministry Network at Southeastern University. He’s a pioneer in the field of leadership development and life-transformation in the local church. For two decades, he has partnered with churches nationwide to design and launch innovative leadership development programs, internships, and leadership pipelines. His work with local churches, non-profits and other businesses has equipped many people to develop transformational leaders and establish effective personal and professional growth strategies. He has written several books, including Relational Intelligence, Made for More: Being Disciples, Making Disciples, Protégé: Developing the Next Generation of Church Leaders, and Talking About God: Honest Conversations About Spirituality.

In his current role with Southeastern University, he’s charged with executing a unique vision to merge the academic world with the local church to develop the next generation of ministry leaders. Steve serves hundreds of SEU partnerships across the country to serve and resource the local church, while also cultivating growth, innovation, and greater effectiveness in developing next generation leaders who live and lead with character and competency. In addition, he serves as adjunct professor at SEU, sharing his experiences in pastoral ministry, preaching, and leadership development for more 2 decades. He has served as a local church pastor at Mosaic, Willow Creek Community Church, Awakening Church in the Silicon Valley, and Stevens Creek Church.

Steve is also passionate about guiding others towards authentic life-transformation, teaching people how to strengthen their relationships, discover their divine design, and develop their leadership and communication skills. He has a Masters Degree in Transformational Leadership and is currently pursuing his Doctorate in Ministry at SEU. He’s also a Gallup certified Strengths Performance Coach and certified in both the DiSC and Myers Briggs Type Indicator. He speaks, trains, coaches, and consults with churches, non-profits, and all types of emerging leaders across the country.

Steve is married to Cheri and the father of two boys, Hudson and Holden. He’s a lifelong fan of the Atlanta Braves and Chicago Cubs, as well as the Golden State Warriors and San Francisco 49ers. He’s a consumer of all things containing peanut butter and chocolate - or just give him some fish tacos and that’ll keep him happy for awhile. Cheri supports his golf addiction, as long as he’s happy when he comes home :-) And if his family isn’t at the baseball field where Steve loves to coach, his family enjoys boating.
